Nutritious Soup for a rainy day !

The scorching summer is a thing of the past ,

The much-awaited monsoon is here. Hurray !

The young and the old alike love to frolic in the rain, but it has its own pitfalls. Amidst the fun of paper boats and umbrellas, children often tend to fall sick easily in monsoon. It is good to keep warm and wear rain protection from the outside, nutrition provides great protection to wear from the inside. Eating right and loading up on the right nutrients keeps our immunity up and prevents infections. Blending fun fruits in a hot soup will keep your child excited to drink it and adds a boost to nutrition.

Pineapple soup is a great choice for monsoons and it is so easy to whip up in a jiffy.

Add pepper pods and turmeric in hot oil in a pan

Add garlic, ginger, onion, kaffir lime leaves.

After they are well sautéed add a cup of pineapple & water

Add a dash of turmeric and allow to boil.

After a few minutes, turn on low flame and add a cup of coconut milk.

Let the pot simmer gently and turn off.

Add salt to taste.

Give your child a bowl of pineapple goodness with high nutrition of coconut milk and turmeric.
