Summer time food for kids

Untitled design(1)Exams are over, hurray !! Holidays are here but so is summer!  Summer time is all fun and play in the sun.  It is the time your kids pack in happy memories and hours away from home running and playing with their friends. Being outdoors more often—and sweating—ups their risk for health problems such as dehydration, skin sensitivities, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

sCoolMeal Food Labs recommends you ensure (a) your kids are well hydrated (b) fed with plenty of antioxidant rich fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure their immunity is at its best (c) given high nutrition snacks to power their summertime fun and games. Have your children drink a glass of water at home every hour between games outside. Give them interesting snacks to go with it like watermelon on a stick or fruit sequers. Remember plenty of fresh water and fruits in between fun and games means better immunity against falling sick and being less tired. A good protein rich snack twice a day like whole gram sprout salads, paneer tikka etc adds the needed nutrition to support fun and games.

Summer holidays is a time for a break from routine, no stress of studies, lots of physical activity and rest for your kids. Combine that with wholesome food and they will get back to school with renewed energy.
